“I have had some really good conversations with the coach Mark Milligan about the style of football he wants to play here and this is something that really excites me,” Burgess said.
“I certainly believe my best football is ahead of me, I have a lot of desire to improve. I have a really good feeling about what we can achieve here at the Jets.
“The fans here are really passionate and I believe something special is on the horizon and I’ve been drawn to that.”

“It was clear from the first meeting with Max that he would be a fantastic addition to the Jets,” said Milligan.
“Max brings great experience from his time in the game and most importantly holds the personal values that will help us grow as a club.
“I am looking forward to getting Max on the pitch and I believe he is a wonderful signing for the club.”
