Newcastle Jets have confirmed the exits of nine players following the end of their 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
As the Jets usher in a new era under new head coach Mark Milligan, Dane Ingham, Ryan Scott, Matt Scarcella, Justin Vidic, Wellissol, Callum Timmins, Jacob Dowse, Charles M’Mombwa and Zac Bowling will depart Newcastle when their contracts expire on June 30.
The Jets finished ninth in 2024-25, eight points adrift of the top six before Rob Stanton departed.
“The club would like to wish all players well for their future,” a statement read.

New Zealand international defender Ingham, 25, will leave Newcastle, having made 95 appearances across four seasons with the club, including 87 in the Isuzu UTE A-League and eight in the Australia Cup, providing nine assists.
Popular goalkeeper Scott captained the Jets on two occasions in the A-Leagues – becoming the 41st player to lead the club. He leaves after 51 games for Newcastle, with 46 of those in the Isuzu UTE A-League, and five in the Australia Cup after the 29-year-old arrived in 2023.

Experienced midfielder Timmins made 67 appearances across three seasons with a Jets, including 62 in the A-Leagues, including 25 this term.

Striker Vidic played 15 games for Newcastle, including two in the Australia Cup and 13 in the A-Leagues over two seasons, with eight league appearances in 2024-25. He scored three goals in his time with the Jets, most notably a match-winning double against Rockdale Illinden in the 2024 Australia Cup Round of 32.
Brazilian Wellissol played 15 matches for the Jets in his one and only campaign at McDonald Jones Stadium.




Scarcella returns to parent club Sydney FC after the expiration of his season-long loan deal, which featured 16 appearances, while M’Mombwa leaves with one goal in 13 matches after joining in January.
Dowse made one appearance for the club in the 2023 Australia Cup as Bowling also departs having been a member of the A-Leagues squad this season.
