Isuzu UTE A-League legend Alessandro Diamanti has become one of our newest Australians after revealing he has been granted citizenship.

The former Western United star, who is now in charge of Melbourne City’s senior academy side, posted a photo of his citizenship certificate on Instagram on Monday.

Diamanti arrived in Australia in 2019, becoming Western’s inaugural captain and immediately endearing himself to Australian football with his magical displays on the pitch and personality off it.
