After an exciting opening round that saw 17 goals, Round 2 is set to explode with the F3 Derby, another Queensland derby with Gold Coast United-s first home match at Skilled Park, and three other important matches in Melbourne, Wellington and Sydney.

With 990 goals scored in the Hyundai A-League to date, Round 2 looks set to see a new milestone in its history with the 1000th Hyundai A-League goal up for grabs and the first F3 Derby for the season when 2nd-placed Central Coast take on close neighbours, 3rd-placed Newcastle Jets.
