Macarthur Bulls have named their successor to former Head Coach Mile Sterjovski, appointing former Socceroo Sasa Ognenovski as their new head coach.
Ognenovski will take charge for the 2026/27 season after signing a two-year deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027/28 campaign.
The 46-year-old returns to the A-League after previously playing for Brisbane Roar, Adelaide United and Sydney FC during the competition’s early years.

Ognenovski enjoyed a decorated playing career in Australia and Asia, winning the AFC Champions League with Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in 2010.
He was named Asian Footballer of the Year by the Asian Football Confederation that same year and went on to make 22 appearances for the Socceroos.
Ognenovski has most recently worked as Football Director at NPL Victoria club Preston Lions, continuing his development on the coaching side of the game.
He now takes charge of the Bulls as they prepare for the 2026/27 A-League Men campaign.
