With just under 80 goals scored in the Hyundai A-League during the month of January, fans were treated to some absolute crackers to start 2018 off with a bang.
We’ve narrowed it down to five based on the fans’ votes and now it’s time to choose which strike deserves the Goal of the Month award for January.

Milos Ninkovic (Sydney FC v Jets)
In one of the best individual goals the Hyundai A-League has ever seen, Ninkovic cut a swathe through the heart of the Jets defence after being found by Bobo.
A myriad of fast touches pushed him past the last line of defence and he coolly sent the ball sailing over the oncoming Glen Moss.
Patricio Rodriguez (Jets v Mariners)
Talk about making an instant impact. The Argentine striker marked his Hyundai A-League debut with a goal off the bench in the F3 Derby, earning the love of his new fans straight away.
He sprung onto a loose ball from Mariners midfielder Jacob Melling, before showing off his superb pace and composure to calmly slide the ball past the looming Ben Kennedy.
Matija Ljujic (Phoenix v Wanderers)
The Serbian attacker has settled into life quickly in Wellington and in just his second outing hit an absolute howitzer to salvage a point against the Wanderers.
Picking up the ball from well outside the box, the Ljujic took two touches forward and hit a stunning strike we flew past Vedran Janjetovic’s outstretched hands into the corner of the net.

Ross McCormack (City v Reds)
McCormack netted his side’s final goal in a big 5-0 win over Adelaide United at AAMI Park back in Round 17.
After a phenomenal first touch after receiving the ball from Mauk, McCormack unleashed a fierce curling strike from distance over the outstretched hand of Margush and into the top corner.
Nikolai Topor-Stanley (Jets v City)
The veteran centre-back doesn’t get many goals but this was one he will definitely feel proud of.
Playmaker Pato Rodriguez did much of the hard work just outside the box, twisting his way past his marker before floating a delicious cross finding Topor-Stanley in the right place at the right time to clinically head the ball beyond Dean Bouzanis.
