Defender Jordan Courtney-Perkins will be staying in Sky Blue after putting pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract to remain at Sydney FC.
The deal will extend Courtney-Perkins’ stay with the club to five years, after the 23-year-old joined Sydney FC from Polish side Raków Częstochowa in 2023.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a strong finish to the 2025-26 campaign, playing a key role in Sydney FC’s run to the Isuzu-UTE A-League Grand Final under Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo.

Able to operate as a central defender or left back, Courtney-Perkins struggled for game time in the first half of last season but went on to accumulate 14 appearances, largely at the heart of the Sky Blues defence owing to injury problems for fellow defenders Marcel Tisserand and Alex Grant.
“I’m really happy to be staying at Sydney FC for another two years,” said Courtney-Perkins after signing his new deal.
“I’ve loved my time here and the last few months in particular have been really enjoyable. Working under PK has been fantastic and I feel like I’ve developed a lot as a player.
He continued: “Playing in my first A-League Grand Final was a special experience which I will never forget.

“It’s given me motivation to improve and help this club achieve more success.
“There’s a great group of players and a lot of exciting young talent coming through which I’m excited to be part of.”
Courtney-Perkins’ form during the latter stages of the campaign saw him establish an impressive partnership in central defence alongside Alexandar Popovic, with the duo playing together in their narrow Grand Final defeat.
“Jordie has been excellent since I came to the club and made an enormous contribution in helping us reach the Grand Final,” said Kisnorbo.
“He formed an exciting partnership alongside Poppa [Alexandar Popovic] and as a young centre-half pairing they showed real potential for the future.
“He will be an important player for us over the next two years and we are delighted to have re-signed him.”
Courtney-Perkins will return to training with Sydney FC at the end of June as preparations begin for the Sydney Super Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur and the Australia Cup 2026 campaign.
The move to re-sign Courtney-Perkins comes after the club announced the signing of former academy player Jake Hollman, who returns to Australia having agreed terms on a three-year deal after leaving EFL League Two side Walsall FC.
Meanwhile the Sky Blues have also been busy farewelling plenty of first team players with Joe Lolley, Joel King, Patrick Wood, Ahmet Arslan, Corey Hollman, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos and Piero Quispe all leaving Sydney FC.
