Sydney FC have confirmed a raft of departures from the club’s Ninja A-League squad, with eight players set to bid farewell to the club at the conclusion of their respective contracts.
CommBank Matildas veteran Kyah Simon is among the eight players parting ways Sydney FC after injuries impacted her comeback season at the club.
English duo Faye Bryson and Millie Farrow will both depart after one season in Sky Blue, as will American forward Shea Connors, scorer of Sydney’s solitary goal in a Grand Final triumph over Melbourne City in 2024.

YOUNG MATILDAS: Roar quartet headline squad that ‘speaks to the strength of our domestic network’

Young midfielder Margaux Chauvet is set to take up an opportunity in the United States following her two years at Sydney FC; Chauvet will be joined by goalkeeper Jasmine Black in the US college system.
Black is one of three goalkeepers confirmed to be leaving Sydney FC, along with Beth Mason-Jones and Tahlia Franco.
The eight departing players are the first to exit the club following an eighth-place finish in the Ninja A-League 2024-25 season – the first campaign in which the Sky Blues failed to qualify for the Finals Series.
Sydney FC head coach Ante Juric expressed his appreciation to all eight players following the confirmation of their exit from the club.
“I’d like to thank all of the players who are moving on for the contribution they’ve made to our club,” Juric said.
“They’ve all shown great commitment, professionalism and a fantastic attitude throughout their time with us.
“We wish them nothing but success and happiness in their next steps, both on and off the pitch.”
