Perth Glory captains Adam Taggart and Izzy Dalton claimed the club’s respective men’s and women’s Most Glorious Player (MGP) Awards at Glory’s annual end-of-season event on Monday night.
Awarded to the best player in both of Perth’s A-Leagues sides each season, the MGP award is the club’s most prestigious annual individual honour.

Dalton, who was named captain of Glory’s Ninja A-League Women side in pre-season, won the MGP award for the first time in her second campaign at the club.
Subway Socceroos striker Taggart, meanwhile, became the third player in Glory’s history to claim the MGP award in two consecutive seasons as a standalone winner.
Taggart scored two goals in Glory’s 2-0 win over Wellington Phoenix on Sunday to take his season tally to 10 – the most of any Glory player – as the 31-year-old finished the campaign with the club’s Golden Boot award for the fifth time.
The MGP award and Golden Boot were two of three trophies secured by Taggart on Glory’s night of nights; the club captain also collected the Members’ Player of the Year award.
Midfielder Lucas Pennington was named Players’ Player of the Year in his first season at the club, while fellow Glory newcomer Luke Amos, who joined the club mid-season, claimed Goal of the Season honours for a spectacular strike against Brisbane Roar in Round 23.
