“It’s more of … I feel of where we should head and how we should do that and I think the club has a different view on that,” Stanton told Paramount+.
“Even though I signed a contract, if I don’t feel we will head in the right direction…”
Stanton continued: “Look I only want the best for the club. I’m not angry or disappointed. I want the best for the fans and players
“In the end, maybe a few people got involved who shouldn’t get involved. Now people need to get involved because they need to fix the club. Owners have come in and they have a job to do.
“It’s going to take more people with strong leadership to set direction and get buy-in from fans.
“I accept it and move on. I don’t want to make it a big deal As a coach when you take a job like this, you have to accept the consequences.
“We need to maybe move on and finish the season the best we can. I don’t want anyone to get divided amongst the club, we need to unite.”
