Playing 25 games for the side who went unbeaten during the course of last season, McKenna also bagged six goals and five assists in what was an impressive season both individually and collectively.
McKenna also played a key role in helping City reach the final of the inaugural AFC Women’s Champions League where Matricciani’s side were defeated 5-4 on penalties by Wuhan Jiangda.

“I’m really excited to be staying at City, it’s a Club that’s helped me grow so much both on and off the pitch,” said McKenna.
“The standards are incredibly high here and everyday I’m surrounded by players and staff who push me to keep improving and that’s exactly the kind of environment I want to be in.
“Last season was an important one on both a personal and team-level, and I can’t wait to help this team achieve even more success in the seasons ahead.”
Following another consistent season in City blue last year, McKenna has now played 86 games for the club and sits second behind Captain Rebekah Stott for most appearances by a Women’s player in Club history.
“Leticia has grown into one of the most dependable and important members of our Women’s team over the past four seasons,” said City’s Director of Football Michael Petrillo.
“To have played over 100 senior matches by the age of 23 is a remarkable achievement and speaks to her quality, professionalism, and consistency.
“We’re excited to see her continue to develop and play a leading role as we push for more success in the years to come.”
