Round 6 Preview
The Hyundai A-League FIFA Fair Play Round 6 kicks-off tomorrow with Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC sharing the lead at the top of the table and Adelaide United in red hot form after making it through to the semi-finals of the AFC Asian Champions League.
All Hyundai A-League match officials will display a RESPECT badge on their shirts from tomorrow onwards.
The values of respect for team mates, respect for the coach, respect for the referee and respect for fans are relevant during FIFA Fair Play round as well as for every football match played on any pitch around Australia.

Reigning Hyundai A-League player of the year JOEL GRIFFITHS is set to make his 50th appearance in the Hyundai A-League. Griffiths, who has scored 24 goals in his 49 appearances to date, made his Hyundai A-League debut in August 2006 for the Jets against New Zealand Knights.

2005/06
All four away teams won in Round Six 2005/06 – this feat only occurring twice since. Adelaide United cruised to a four-point lead at the top of the ladder after this round, after defeating New Zealand Knights 2-1; the biggest upset of the round was second-placed Central Coast going down in Gosford to third-last Melbourne Victory.
2006/07
Round Six 2006/07 was highlighted by a convincing 4-1 victory by Melbourne over second-placed Queensland, the win earning the Victory a seven point gap at the head of the ladder. Meanwhile Sydney FC guest player Attillo Carbone stole the show in a destructive Hyundai A-League debut, Sydney hammering Adelaide United 4-1 at Hindmarsh Stadium.
2007/08
Round Six 2007/08 was the only Hyundai A-League round to date where all four home teams recorded wins. The biggest boilover of this round was Adelaide’s 2-1 win over Central Coast, with United second-last and the Mariners clearly heading the ladder leading into this round. This weekend’s round of matches also saw Wellington’s biggest win-to-date, a 4-1 home defeat of Perth Glory.
