Brisbane Roar v Western Sydney Wanderers
Thursday, 7:30pm AEDT
Brisbane Roar head into this Thursday night clash at Dolphin Stadium at the peak of their powers.
The side will feel invincible after ending Melbourne Victory’s unbeaten run to the season in a thrilling 4-3 victory at home.
While Western Sydney Wanderers may appear to be an easier prospect, Dan Barrett’s side may be the fresher of the two having just come off a bye.
The Red and Black have struggled to convert their chances this season, registering three goals in six games.
If Brisbane are serious about defending their Westfield W-League Premiership, this is the type of game they will have to win to maintain pressure on Victory.

Perth Glory v Sydney FC
Friday, 6:30pm AEDT
Sam Kerr takes on a host of Westfield Matildas as Perth Glory host Sydney FC in an double-header at nib Stadium.
The last time these two met was in Round 10 of the 2017/18 Season where the Sky Blues got the job done with a 2-0 victory.
And now having come off the back of two consecutive wins, in which they scored 10 goals along the way against Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United, Ante Juric’s side are beginning to hit their straps.
The game at nib Stadium will also be a battle of the Westfield W-League’s two highest-scoring teams. Perth lead the way with 17 goals, but Sydney FC have only scored a goal less.
Perth are now the only unbeaten team in the league, and have a knack of scoring goals when they need to.
We may not be meteorologists, but it’s safe to say you can expect the forecast to be cloudy with a chance of goals.

Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory
Friday, 7:30pm AEDT
The second instalment this season’s Original Derby promises to be a cracker. Both sides were dethroned from their unbeaten mantles, and now both sides are not as comfortable as the week before.
Melbourne Victory were flying, but after their 4-3 loss to Brisbane Roar the pack below them are beginning to gain some ground.
The Reds meanwhile are well and truly in the thick of the pack, having lost 5-2 against Sydney FC and drawing their previous two fixtures against Perth Glory and Melbourne City.
Veronica Latsko has scored braces in consecutive weeks now for Adelaide, bringing her total goal tally to six goals in as many games.
Not to be outdone, Victory’s Natasha Dowie has six goals and an assist in six games.
With both teams out to get back on the wagon, this Friday night blockbuster is shaping up to be a ripper.

Saturday, 5:00pm AEDT
Westfield W-League Round 8 wraps up a day early but in no less interesting circumstances.
Melbourne City host Canberra United in the second double-header of the round in a must-win clash for both sides.
Despite only being potentially a win within the top four, three points dropped could result in slipping further away from the pack.
Melbourne City’s Westfield Matildas have returned, headlined by Kyah Simon who has two goals in her last two games.
Meanwhile, Canberra United will be hungry for success following a 2-2 draw against Western Sydney Wanderers which they may very well believe they should have won.
