Four goals in as many matches and a crucial winner against the Phoenix on the weekend has left speedy Perth Glory winger Chris Harold with a spring in his step.
The 23-year old has been in sensational form over the past month and last week signed a new two-year deal with the WA club.
“I think the big thing for me in front of goal has been confidence,” he said.

“Once I had got my first, the monkey was off my back really and I wasn’t beating myself up about it anymore. I just need to maintain this form now.”
Harold’s first Hyundai A-League goal of the season coincided with his 100th league match against Melbourne City.
Glory was reduced to 10-men during that match and Harold scored the equaliser to help his team earn a valuable point in front of a home-crowd.
The 2-2 draw marked the beginning of a four game unbeaten streak, with wins over Newcastle Jets, Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix where he scored the winner against the New Zealand rivals on Sunday.
Harold has been doing extra work at training with the help of former Glory striker Branko Jelic.
“We’ve only had a couple of short sessions after training but I definitely think they have been beneficial,” he said.
“He was clearly a top player and an excellent goal scorer so his little tips and habits that he is passing onto me are making a difference to my game.”
The aspiring lawyer said the Wellington win had boosted the team’s spirits as they prepare for another important clash against Sydney FC this Saturday.
“Since we are over here for the week, the win is going to make this trip much more enjoyable. I’m sure the boys are going to be very upbeat and sprightly all week”.
“Having gained two away wins in a row gives us a big psychological boost ahead of the Sydney game,” he said.
