Brisbane Roar and head coach Ruben Zadkovich have mutually agreed to part ways at the conclusion of their 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Zadkovich departs after the Roar finished second from bottom, despite ending the campaign on a four-match unbeaten streak.
The 38-year-old had been at the helm on a full-time basis since April last year, having initially stepped in for Ben Cahn in an interim capacity in 2023-24 as Brisbane finished ninth.

A formal announcement and press conference with the new Roar head coach and his supporting staff is planned for the coming days.
“The club would like to acknowledge and thank Ruben for his commitment and efforts during his tenure in Brisbane,” said Roar CEO Kaz Patafta.
“Ruben leaves with our best wishes for his future endeavours, as we begin to chart a new course here at the club.”
Patafta recently delivered an exciting update while highlighting “transformative investments”, including the looming appointment of a Sporting Director to “drive better football operations and outcomes”.
“I wish to take this opportunity to thank the members and fans at Brisbane Roar, alongside Kaz Patafta and Zac Anderson, for the opportunity to coach at this great club,” Zadkovich said.
