Isuzu UTE A-League Golden Boot winner second in the world on global football list

Sydney FC star and Isuzu UTE A-League Golden Boot winner Adrian Segecic is in the top two for Under-21 players from 50 leagues around the world in a list shared by the CIES Football Observatory.

Segecic incredibly is second for most goals and assists per 90 minutes among U21 players from 50 divisions worldwide (minimum 900 domestic league minutes).

The 20-year-old sensation is only second to FC Lorient’s Eli Junior Kroupi at 1.04.

Segecic, who is out of contract, enjoyed an incredible 2024-25 season with Sydney FC who narrowly missed out on the Finals Series.

The young gun earned a share of the Isuzu UTE A-League Golden Boot alongside Adelaide United’s Archie Goodwin after both players scored 13 goals.

Segecic became the third-youngest player on the all-time list, aged 20 years and 337 days.

He managed 13 goals despite starting just 14 of his 24 leagues appearances.

The Australian youngster also scored five goals en route to the AFC Champions League Two semi-finals.
