Western Sydney Wanderers have pulled off one of the signings of the off-season with confirmation the club has signed former winger Nicolas Milanovic on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old returns to Wanderland following a year overseas in the Scottish Premiership with Aberdeen.
A Western Sydney local and lifelong Wanderers supporter, Milanovic made a huge impact after joining the club in 2023.

During two-and-a-half seasons in Red & Black, he won the club’s Golden Boot, played a key role in the Wanderers’ most prolific attacking campaign in A-Leagues history and capped off his time by claiming the Johnny Warren Medal in season 2024/25.
“Coming back to the Wanderers just felt right,” Milanovic said, after inking his new three-year deal with the Wanderers.

“This club has always meant a lot to me and I’m incredibly proud to be back representing Western Sydney.

“The fans have always been unbelievable with me. Their support never stopped, even while I was away, and I can’t wait to pull the Red & Black again and play in front of them.”
His arrival marks another significant addition for the Wanderers as they continue to strengthen Ufuk Talay’s squad with proven quality ahead of the new campaign.

Football Director Mal Impiombato said bringing Milanovic back to the club reflects the Wanderers’ ambitions.
“Nic is one of Western Sydney’s own, and we’re incredibly proud to welcome him back to the Club. He left as the Johnny Warren Medalist and returns with valuable experience that will only add to his quality as a player,” said Impiombato.

Head coach Ufuk Talay believes the returning attacker will add even more firepower to his side.
“Nic’s an exciting player who brings energy, power and quality in the final third. He’s someone who can create and score goals, and he is a fantastic addition to the squad we are building,” said Talay.
“His experience overseas will help him, but for me it’s about making sure he enjoys his football again. When Nic is playing with confidence and freedom, he’s one of the best players in the competition.
