Brisbane Roar have made their Melbourne City midfielder Emin Durakovic has joined Brisbane Roar on a two-year deal.
Progressing through the Melbourne City academy, Durakovic made his senior debut in January 2025 and left City having made 33 appearances across all competitions.
A left-footed midfielder, the Australian youth international’s versatility will provide Roar boss Michael Valkanis with plenty of options for the upcoming Isuzu UTE A-League campaign.

“Emin gives us another dimension in the final third and in central midfield,” said Valkanis, after the deal was made official.
“He can play in a few positions across the front and midfield, he’s mobile and comfortable on the ball, and he wants to make things happen.
“He fits the way we want to play and I’m looking forward to working with him through pre-season.”
Sporting Director James Gow added: “Emin brings youthful exuberance, hunger, and a lot of potential.
“We’re confident Brisbane is the right place for Emin to kick on now, and we’re delighted to have him on board.”

Durakovic’s move to Queensland represents the represents the first move of his career given he previously joined the Melbourne City academy aged 12.
“I’m excited to sign with Brisbane Roar. This is a club with a proud history and passionate supporters,” said Durakovic.
“I am determined to achieve success with the club and help bring the Roar back to where they belong, at the top.”
Durakovic is Brisbane Roar’s sixth signing in the last week after they previously announced the capture of German attacking midfielder Marko Ilic and former Sydney FC defender Joel King.
Valkanis’ side have also recruited two members of last season’s Central Coast Mariners side in Sabit Ngor and Jacob Nasso whilst former Western Sydney Wanderers defender Tate Russell has also joined after a stint playing in the NPL NSW.
