Brisbane Roar have bolstered their defence after announcing the signing of defender Jacob Nasso from Central Coast Mariners.
The 19-year-old moves north to Queensland having impressed in his breakout season with the Mariners, and ha signed a three-year deal ahead of the 2026-27 Isuzu UTE A-League campaign.
Nasso starred for Bentleigh Greens in the NPL Victoria before joining Western United’s U21
squad as captain in 2023, where he was named Players’ Player of the Year.

The right-back featured in eight matches for Central Coast Mariners across the 2025-26
campaign.
“I am extremely grateful and blessed for the opportunity,” said Nasso, after putting pen-to-paper on his contract.
“From my conversations with the club, there’s a clear vision for what we want to achieve.
He added: “I’m excited to play in front of the fans, hungry for success and ready to build something special.”
Sporting Director James Gow believes Nasso fits the profile at right back the club wanted to
identify.

“Jacob is a defender with real maturity and leadership for his age, and his
development to date speaks to his character and work ethic,” Gow said.
“At 19, Jacob has already shown he has a strong defensive IQ and many other qualities
required to succeed at this level.
“He is hungry, hard working, versatile and ready to push for opportunities. We’re confident he’ll grow significantly in our environment, and we’re excited to see what he can do in orange.”
Nasso becomes Brisbane’s FIFTH signing in the last seven days.
Having recruited 27-year-old German attacker Marko Ilic from third tier of German football as their first off-season signing, Brisbane Roar then added some A-League experience in the form of ex-Sydney FC defender Joel King and former Mariners attacker Sabit Ngor.
On Monday evening the club also announced the signing of defender Tate Russell on a two-year deal.
