Brisbane Roar v Melbourne Victory
Saturday 24 November 2012
Queensland Sports & Athletics Centre, Brisbane
Local kick-off: 10am
Referee: Peta McCallum
Catch the action live streaming online from 11am AEDT at www.abc.net.au/w-league and nationally on ABC1 from 5pm
Along with Perth Glory, Melbourne Victory are the form team of the Westfield W-League and are currently on the back of a three-match winning streak that has lifted the Victorians to second.
With the Glory not playing this weekend due to Canberra-s participation in the International Women-s Club Championship, the Victory can grab a share of top spot for the first time since season one with a win in Brisbane. Mike Mulvey-s charges are also hunting a club-record four straight wins.
And it is an opportune time to make the notoriously difficult trip to Brisbane with the Roar shorn of numerous key personnel on national team duty.
However the Victory will have to make do without the midfield drive of Jessica Fishlock who has returned to her native Wales this weekend for an international against the Netherlands.
Brisbane came away from Melbourne with a hard-fought 1-0 win just four weeks ago but this encounter promises to be a very different affair. The Roar have half a dozen players away on Matildas duty testing even their famed squad depth.
Perhaps for the first time in the history of the Westfield W-League the Victory will tackle two-time champions Brisbane fielding the more experienced line-up. The Roar though are renowned for their fighting spirit and, after suffering a defeat against Western Sydney Wanderers, will be eager to atone after last week-s rare stumble at home.

Adelaide United v Sydney FC
Saturday 24 November 2012
Burton Park, Adelaide
Local kick-off: 2pm
Referee: Renee Silvester
After a promising start to the season, Adelaide United have started to creak in recent weeks having lost four on the trot and conceding 13 goals in their five outings to date.
They will be relived to be facing a Sydney FC weakened by the absence of some of their big names, though the Sky Blues side still possesses significant quality and experience.
Adelaide-s forward line of Racheal Quigley, Sarah McLaughlin and Marijana Rajcic are capable of damaging any defence on their day, and coach Dave Edmondson will be wanting his attackers to test a relatively youthful Sky Blues defence.
Despite the absence of four key players on Matildas duty, Sydney FC are reinforced for their visit to Adelaide by the timely return of Ellyse Perry from a hamstring strain.
Striker Brittany Whitfield is back from injury, while last week saw the introduction of Doncaster Belles attacker Lillie Fenlon-Billson, plus the welcome return of redoubtable midfielder Kylie Ledbrook.
On the back of consecutive defeats, anything other than three points will be unthinkable for a Sydney side with high expectations.

Western Sydney Wanderers v Newcastle Jets
Sunday 25 November 2012
Campbelltown Stadium, Sydney
Local kick-off: 2pm
Referee: Kate Jacewicz
Western Sydney Wanderers have been the league-s quite achievers and incredibly could move into second with a win against the Jets. Coach Stephen Roche has quickly moulded a cohesive unit based around several players from his Central Coast Mariners side that did so well in season two of the Westfield W-League.
Last week-s introduction of experienced Icelandic international goalkeeper Thora Helgadottir added yet more steel to an already solid defence, while this week the squad is strengthened further with the arrival of former Australia U-17 international Candice Sciberras.
The enigmatic Jets arrive with a strong track record at Campbelltown Stadium having seen off Sydney FC on more than occasion at the venue.
Coach Wayne O-Sullivan will be hoping his team continue last week-s form which saw the Jets hit four unanswered goals against Adelaide, in a scoreline which contrasts markedly with the previous four outings as his side leaked a massive 15 goals.
