Brisbane continue their fine form

Brisbane Roar went three points clear at the top of Conference A after they defeated Melbourne City 3-1 at C.B. Smith Reserve.

The visitors went ahead through a Christian Cavallo own goal after 14 minutes before City equalised via Moudi Najjar just before the half-hour mark.

Right on half-time Daniel Leck put the Roar back in the lead and Mirza Muratovic was on hand to seal all three points after he knocked one in with 15 minutes to go.

Wanderers march on

The final match of the round saw Western Sydney move a win clear of their Sky Blue rivals after defeating Central Coast Mariners 2-0.

The fixture at the CCM Centre of Excellence saw all the scoring take place in the first half with Oliver Puflett and Fabian Monge both on the scoresheet in the ninth and 39th minutes respectively.
