Just two rounds remain in an engaging Westfield W-League season and the competition is only growing more intense as teams jostle for Finals Series spots.
With only a few points separating the top four and the teams below, a stellar campaign is set to conclude with a grandstand finale.
And it’s no surprise that Westfield Matildas superstar Sam Kerr is the frontrunner for the Golden Boot award, although she does have a few others following closely behind.

GOALS
For most of the season, Sam Kerr has led the way in the Golden Boot race, and after scoring a hat-trick on the weekend, is currently in the lead with 11 goals to her name.
Glory teammate Rachel Hill is her nearest competitor with eight goals, though with Perth having only one game remaining, other contenders remain a chance to knock them off the top.
Katie Stengel has been a consistent contributor to Newcastle Jets, notching up seven goals. The American will look to boost her total in a crunch clash with Canberra United on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Melbourne Victory captain Natasha Dowie netted the equaliser in her side’s draw with Western Sydney Wanderers on the weekend to improve her tally to six.
ASSISTS
Canberra United and Perth Glory are the league’s most prolific teams with 22 each so far this season and they have attacking stars Ashleigh Sykes and Rachel Hill to thank for much of their productivity, with the pair both providing four assists.
They’re joined at the top by Westfield Matildas star Kyah Simon, who has teed up four of her team’s 17 goals.
CLEAN SHEETS
The bedrock of Brisbane Roar’s phenomenal surge to within touching distance of the premiership has been an excellent defence, allowing just nine goals over their 10 games.
Australia international Mackenzie Arnold has been integral to that stability, leading the competition with six clean sheets.
Arnold’s Westfield Matildas team-mate Lydia Williams follows in second with four shut-outs for Melbourne City.
Meanwhile, American import Aubrey Bledsoe (two) and (one) have kept three between them for Sydney FC.
