To celebrate 10 years of the Westfield W-League, we are giving fans the chance to select a Team of the Decade composed of the best the competition has ever seen.
We’ve undertaken the tough task of settling on a shortlist of players to fill out the team in a 4-3-3 formation.

Lisa De Vanna
Perhaps the greatest ‘winner’ to have graced the league. Three championships at three different clubs goes some way to summing up her impact.
Leena Khamis
Scored the first ever Westfield W-League goal back in 2008 and remains a threat to the current day. Without doubt a Sydney FC legend.
Michelle Heyman
Unstoppable on her day, Heyman scooped two Golden Boots in three seasons between 2009 and 2012.
Sam Kerr
What else is there to say about one of the finest players in the world? Kerr is finding new ways to exceed the potential that’s been evident since day one.
Sarah Walsh
Another Westfield Matildas legend, the quick and agile Walsh was one of the most feared strikers in Australia during the competition’s early years.
Kyah Simon
Golden Boot winner, Young Player of the Year and Julie Dolan Medallist. And that was just the 2010/11 season alone. Creates and scores goal in equal measure.
Kate Gill
Arguably the Westfield Matildas’ greatest ever out-and-out striker, Gill was a constant on the scoresheet for both Newcastle Jets and Perth Glory. One of two players to have collected the Golden Boot on two occasions.
Caitlin Foord
Could have appeared in any position, but the pacy Foord is at her most devastating in the front third. A show-stopper since her 2010 debut.
Ashleigh Sykes
Now captain of Canberra, Sykes’ value to the Green Machine was on show with the goals she scored in both of the club’s Grand Final victories. A Golden Boot and a Julie Dolan Medal fill out an enviable trophy cabinet.
Jodie Taylor
Back for her third stint in Australia, England star Taylor scored three more goals than any other player on her way to the Golden Boot in 2013/14.
