There’s plenty on the line across four games on Sunday, March 28, with both the A-League and Westfield W-League providing a smorgasbord of action in a pair of double-headers.
The A-League action kicks off when Wellington Phoenix host Macarthur FC at WIN Stadium (kick-off 4.05pm AEDT). The Phoenix and Macarthur both enjoyed wins in their last A-League hit-outs against Melbourne Victory and Western United respectively.
The Phoenix dominated Victory to notch a 4-1 win on Wednesday, 25 March, backing up from a 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar earlier in Matchweek 13. The Bulls, meanwhile, got revenge over the Green and Black with a 2-1 win after falling to a 4-1 defeat to Mark Rudan’s side in Matchweek 9.
It’s the second meeting between the two sides this season, after a 1-1 draw at Campbelltown Stadium in Matchweek 3.

At the conclusion of Sunday’s first A-League game, Adelaide United will host Sydney FC at Coopers Stadium (kick-off 6.10pm AEDT).
The Reds are on a five-game winning streak heading into their home clash with the Sky Blues. A 4-1 victory over Newcastle Jets in Matchweek 13 ensured Carl Veart’s side had no chance of slipping under the radar from this moment on; Adelaide are well and truly emerging as one of the teams to beat in 2020/21.
Sydney drew 1-1 with Perth Glory in the final game of Matchweek 13, after dominating the chances but lacking end product. Corica’s side will need to turn their attacking inefficiencies around quickly if they are to take it to a free-scoring Reds side with 15 goals from their last five games.

In the Westfield W-League, both Melbourne Victory and Brisbane Roar will play host to their final fixtures of the regular season, with both games holding serious implications to either side’s Finals Series aspirations.
Victory host Perth Glory at Epping Stadium in the first of the two fixtures (kick-off 4.05pm AEDT). Victory begin Round 14 in fifth but could end it as Premiers, with two games to play and trailing league-leading Sydney FC by just four points.
But the main objective for Jeff Hopkins’ side will be to secure Finals Series football. Three points against Perth will take Victory above Adelaide United in third who have played all 12 of their regular season games.
Brisbane Roar will then host Newcastle Jets at Lions FC Stadium. (kick-off 6.05pm AEDT). Brisbane begin Round 14 in second place on 22 points, two behind the Sky Blues. Both Canberra United and Victory could potentially leapfrog Brisbane and send them tumbling into fourth on the table before the end of the round.
But, should Sydney FC lose to Canberra on Friday night, the chance will open up for Brisbane to take their own shot at clinching the Premiers Plate.
