FC Seoul advanced to the last eight with a 3-1 win over Beijing Guoan in the South Korean capital.
Frederic Kanoute put the visitors one nil up after just nine minutes in what would turn out to be an ill-tempered affair.

Kanoute was then sent off for a second-bookable offence, while Adilson would receive his marching orders on 87 minutes.
With time ticking away, there was still time for another sending off with X Zhang leaving the field on 89 minutes, and the game was wrapped up four minutes into injury time when Myong-Jin Ko made it 3-1.

Al Ahli took the early initiative in their second leg against El Jaish, with the sides level at 1-1 after the first leg a week earlier.
Bruno Cesar gave his side the lead on 24 minutes before Mustafa Al Bassass doubled the lead 13 minutes later and Al Ahli went on to secure their place in the quarter-finals for the second season in a row with a comfortable 3-1 aggregate win.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian outfit Al Shabab also confirmed their place in the last eight with a thumping 3-0 second-leg win over Qatar’s Al Gharafa to complete a 5-1 aggregate victory.
Argentine striker Sebastian Tagliabue – who finished top scorer in the Saudi Arabian league with 19 goals – netted twice, before forward Muhannad Asiri wrapped up the home side’s progress with a stoppage-time strike.
