Campbelltown City 1-3 Melbourne City
A stunner on debut from English recruit Craig Noone and a brace from Jamie Maclaren saw Melbourne City beat a valiant Campbelltown City side 3-1.

Maclaren cleverly hooked in a cross from new signing Javier Cabrera to give City the lead, only for Campbelltown’s 37-year-old skipper Ian Fyfe to equalise with an ice-cool penalty after Scott Jamieson had fouled winger Luigi Di Troia.
- However, Noone restored the advantage with a scorching left-footer from distance just shy of the interval.
- Campbelltown rallied in the second, but Maclaren sealed the deal in stoppage time to gift Erick Mombaerts his first competitive win at the helm of the Hyundai A-League club.

St George FC 3-5 Sydney United 58
Sydney United 5-3 prevailed in an eight-goal epic over NSW rivals St George in extra time.
- Patrick Antelmi broke the deadlock and Josh Macdonald put the visitors in cruise control by netting the FFA Cup’s 550th goal early in the second.
- Musashi Kokubo and Marcus Beattie clawed St. George level, but United 58 grabbed the lead and what almost certainly appeared the winner in the 93rd minute via Yianni Perkatis.
- However, Kokubo forced extra-time by turning the ball home with the last kick of the normal time.
- United 58 proved too strong in extra time, with Tariq Maia and 17-year-old Michael Ruhs sending the Reds into the Round of 16.

Maitland 0-2 Central Coast Mariners
Two goals in three minutes from Michael McGlinchey helped Central Coast Mariners cruise past Maitland.
- A quickfire McGlinchey double all but killed Maitland’s hopes of springing a giant-killing early on.
- Matt Simon finished the match at centre back as the Gosford club sealed a Round of 16 ticket for the first time since the inaugural 2014 competition.
South Hobart 0-3 Marconi Stallions
Ex-Hyundai A-League hot shot Marko Jesic scored twice in four minutes as Marconi Stallions saw off South Hobart 3-0.
- Jesic dispatched a first half penalty after a South Hobart handball and grabbed his second soon after to give the Stallions a two-goal buffer.
- The Stallions capped a dominant display through a late strike from Damian Tsekenis, the 18-year-old son of coach Peter.
Tigers FC 0-2 Hume City
2015 Semi-Finalists Hume City are eyeing the FFA spotlight again after brushing past Tigers FC 2-0.
- Former Adelaide United prospect Mark Ochieng fired the Victorians ahead early, before Ben Bowler added a second with a deflected effort from long range.
