As expected Brisbane Roar have named Rado Vidosic as the successor to departed coach Ange Postecoglou.

The club’s assistant coach since the inception of the Hyundai A-League, Vidosic will get his chance to continue the legacy the Roar have created for themselves and it’s one he is confident he can uphold.

“I feel I deserve this chance,” Vidosic told News Limited.

“With the 10 years’ experience I had as a teacher and the seven years I’ve had here on the coaching staff, I think I can manage players and people without any problem.

“I don’t think that I should change. I am who I am.

“Maybe I need to tweak it a little bit, but I haven’t had any problems with players so far and I can’t see why that should be a problem from now on.

“I’ve been here since day one, and we’ve had our ups and downs in that time.”

With most of the squad expected to be staying at the club, Vidosic will get his chance to continue to build the legacy of the current group and it-s a challenge he says he would look forward to.

“This group of players, they are not finished yet, they’ve still got some time to go and perform,” he said.

“The majority of them are staying. There are not many changes we need to make.”
