Melbourne Victory have confirmed the departure of star goalkeeper Casey Dumont as the 2023-24 Liberty A-League season looms.
In April, Victory had granted Dumont permission to compete in the AFLW competition for Hawthorn during the A-League Women off-season with the shot-stopper contracted to the club until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

But after furthering her commitment to AFLW, Victory announced the four-time Liberty A-League champion will not return after her cross-code switch.
The 31-year-old joined Victory in 2017 and established herself as a key member of the squad after overcoming numerous injury problems.

During her time in Melbourne, Dumont won a Championships and two Premierships.
Last season, the three-time Australia international made 17 appearances for Victory – who lost in the Preliminary Final.
Dumont also won two Championships and a Premiership with Brisbane Roar between 2008 and 2013.
Jeff Hopkins’ Victory have been busy this off-season.
They have signed Rachel Lowe (Sydney FC), Emma Checker (Melbourne City), Jamilla Rankin (Brisbane Roar), Kurea Okino, Ella O’Grady, Tori Hansen (on loan from Orlando Pride) and McKenzie Weinert (OL Reign), while re-signing captain Kayla Morrison, Beattie Goad, Miranda Templeman, Jessika Nash, Lia Privitelli, Alana Murphy, Ava Briedis, Paige Zois, Rosie Curtis and Matildas star Elise Kellond-Knight.
Catherine Zimmerman (Western United), Gema Simon (Newcastle Jets), Maja Markovski, Emily Kos, Melina Ayres (Newcastle Jets), Claudia Bunge (HB Køge), Natalie Tathem and Anna Liacopoulos have also departed.
