Melbourne Victory have continued their busy off-season with the signing of Australia youth international Matthew Grimaldi.
Grimaldi joins Victory for the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season after Western United’s Club Participation Agreement (CPA) was placed in conditional hibernation for the upcoming campaign.

The “technically gifted” 21-year-old attacker has emerged as one of the competition’s top talents following a breakout 2023-24 campaign, with the Under-23 international scoring 10 league goals since his debut.

Grimaldi is Victory’s latest signing after Socceroo Denis Genreau, Louis D’Arrigo, Keegan Jelacic, Franco Lino (loan), Sebastian Esposito (loan), Jason Davidson, Jack Warshawsky, Emre Saglam (loan), Oliver Dragicevic and Xavier Stella, while academy trio Kayne Razmovski, Jack Mihailidis and Daniel Lazarevski have been promoted.
Clarismario Santos, Luka Kolić, Roderick Miranda and Adama Traore have re-signed for 2025-26 following Victory’s run of consecutive Grand Final appearances.
Victory, meanwhile, have farewelled Fabian Monge, Alex Menelaou, Christian Siciliano, Kasey Bos (Mainz), Daniel Arzani (Ferencvarosi TC), Ryan Teague (KV Mechelen) Mitch Langerak (Retired) and Zinedine Machach.
