Perth striker Andy Keogh says new players at Glory will soon understand how to read his and other forwards’ runs and believes their comeback win shows a strong spirit in the group.
Speaking after Glory’s first win of the season on Sunday, a gritty, comeback 2-1 win over Central Coast at nib, Keogh senses a bright future for Kenny Lowe’s side.
“It was the first win of the season, which was the most important thing.
“Fair play to Central Coast they really made us work for those three points,” he told Fox Sports.
“The lads [new signings] came in a bit late and they’re trying to get to know how we play.. and we created chances today.
“Taggs [Adam Taggart] had a couple in the first half and I had a couple so we’re getting in behind defences.
“And with a little more sharpness and match fitness we’ll be a little more lethal.
“A win like this breeds confidence. They outplayed us for the first half an hour and we were chasing shadows.
“So to come away with three points after that shows what a good team spirit and belief we have.”
Glory next face third-placed Sydney FC this Friday night.
