Perth Glory talent Jaylan Pearman has received the April/May nomination for the 2025 Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year award while Western Sydney Wanderers star Nicolas Milanovic has earned the “wildcard” nomination.

19-year-old Pearman has been a revelation this season, scoring four goals and registering three assists in just 12 league matches despite Perth ultimately picking up the wooden spoon.

As a result of his impressive breakout season, the teenage talent is now set for a move to EFL Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

Pearman is the sixth player to be nominated for the award in 2024-25, joining the five other monthly nominees selected throughout the Isuzu UTE A-League season by a panel of technical football experts and media representatives, who vote on a 3-2-1 basis at the conclusion of each nominated monthly period throughout the season.

Also now in the running for the 2025 Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year award will be Western Sydney Wanderers attacking weapon Milanovic.

A constant danger to defences this season, 23-year-old Milanovic fell one goal short of collecting the Golden Boot this year after bagging a career-best 12 goals for the campaign.

Now hoping to fire the Wanderers to Finals Series glory, Milanovic is also a player rumoured to be heading overseas come the end of the season following a stand-out campaign.
