Michael Marrone (Adelaide United)

Antony Golec (Central Coast Mariners)

While his side was on the end of a 2-0 loss, the tough-tackling defender made three interceptions and had one shot on target from one attempt.

Luke Wilkshire (Sydney FC)

Another strong performance from the Sky Blues veteran, attempted 55 passes with an 87% passing accuracy and creating two scoring chances.

Rhys Williams (Melbourne Victory)

Not only did the fringe Caltex Socceroo score Victory’s opener, he also attempted four tackles and won 10 of 11 duels contested.

MIDFIELDERS

Luke Brattan (Melbourne City)

Was City’s best in the loss to Sydney FC, involved in 14 duels, attempting 49 passes, creating three scoring chances and scoring a goal.

Alex Brosque (Sydney FC)

Finished the game with a stunning goal, while also contesting eight duels and had a passing accuracy of 83%.

Michael Jakobsen (Melbourne City)

The City skipper made a joint-round-high five interceptions and provided an assist.

Adrian Mierzejewski (Sydney FC)

The Polish star got the Sky Blues back into the match with a fantastic free-kick, he created three scoring chances (including an assist), and won three fouls.
