Kaluderovic is proving to be a real contender for this season’s scoring mantle as his quickfire brace against Melbourne Victory took him to equal-first on seven goals.
Meanwhile, O’Donovan’s fantastic start to the campaign has been hampered by a groin injury that has sidelined him for the past three weeks.
6 goals: Ross McCormack (Melbourne City FC), Bobo (Sydney FC)
Bobo’s winner against Adelaide United – continuing on from his Westfield FFA Cup heroics – helped him remain at the front of the chasing pack.
Not to be outdone, McCormack was on target from the spot the following night to help Melbourne City to their first win in four matches.
5 goals: Andrew Nabbout (Newcastle Jets)
Nabbout’s brilliant run of form has softened the loss of O’Donovan as Newcastle’s makeshift striker made it five in five with his poacher’s effort against City.
4 goals: Besart Berisha (Melbourne Victory), Dario Vidosic (Wellington Phoenix), Oriol Riera (Western Sydney Wanderers FC), Dimitri Petratos (Newcastle Jets), Massimo Maccarone (Brisbane Roar FC)
Even on an off day Berisha still contributed to Victory’s comeback win over Wellington by turning in the first of a three-goal second half.
And he was joined on four goals by Brisbane Roar marquee Massimo Maccarone, the Italian striker firing in a stinging left-footed effort against Western Sydney to end a four-match scoreless run.
