The Hyundai A-League returned with a bang last weekend and there are five more massive games to look forward to in Round 2.
The Sydney Derby on Saturday night at the Sydney Cricket Ground headlines some intriguing fixtures, with key battles taking place in Adelaide, Gosford, Brisbane and Melbourne.
You won’t want to miss any of the action over the weekend and here’s how to get around all five games.

Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets
Friday, 7.50pm (AEDT)
The Reds are at home for the second straight week as they host last season’s beaten Grand Finalists Newcastle Jets.
Adelaide were impressive for long periods against Sydney FC in Round 1, but were punished for not making the most of their chances in being pegged back for a 1-1 draw.
Jets boss Ernie Merrick won’t be pushing any panic buttons just yet despite their opening round loss in Wellington, but they won’t want to slip up again at Coopers Stadium.

Central Coast Mariners v Melbourne City

There’ll be plenty of excitement in Gosford for this one as the Mariners play their first home game of the 2018/19 Season against Melbourne City in the first game of ‘Super Saturday’.
Mike Mulvey’s Central Coast revolution got off to a promising start in getting a draw against Brisbane, a fixture where they have struggled to get a result in recent seasons.
But they’ll get a strong test of their credentials for the campaign against Warren Joyce’s City, who came from behind to beat defending Hyundai A-League Champions Victory in the Melbourne Derby.

Sydney FC v Western Sydney Wanderers
Saturday, 7.50pm (AEDT)
Football returns to the SCG for the first time in more than 30 years as Sydney FC look to continue their recent derby dominance against the Wanderers.
The Sky Blues have lost just one of their last 14 games against the Wanderers in all competitions, including a 3-0 demolition in the FFA Cup Semi Final earlier this month.
Steve Corica will demand improvement from his side following their draw with the Reds over the weekend, with star striker Adam Le Fondre getting off the mark for the season.
But the Wanderers showed enough in their second-half fightback against Perth to suggest they can overturn their derby struggles of recent years.

Brisbane Roar v Wellington Phoenix

Wellington will be out to show their opening round win wasn’t a flash in the pan as they head to Suncorp Stadium.
There were plenty of encouraging signs from Mark Rudan’s troops in their win over the Jets but can they find the right formula to win on the road.
Roar boss John Aloisi will still be wondering how his side didn’t take all three points in their season-opener after creating numerous chances in their draw with the Mariners.
It promises to be an entertaining clash in the opening game of Sunday’s double-header.

Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory
Sunday 7.00pm (AEDT)
The final match of Round 2 should be another cracker as Kevin Muscat’s Victory look to respond from their derby defeat against the Glory.
With Keisuke Honda in devastating form, Victory were very impressive despite their defeat and they could have Swedish striker Ola Toivonen in for his first Hyundai A-League appearance.
But Glory are sure to be a tough nut to crack under Tony Popovic this season and have made a habit of often saving their best for clashes against Victory.
And if Diego Castro returns from injury, his battle with Honda will be a beauty.
