The Central Coast striker has since bumped her season tally to seven goals scoring in back-to-back March games, so expect the Chinese international to figure prominently in next month’s rankings once again.

8. Mariana Speckmaier

7. Sarah Langman

  • Ranking last month: N/A
  • Opta index: 70.4
  • Transfer: Perth Glory -> Central Coast Mariners

6. Emina Ekic

  • Ranking last month: 1st (dropped five places)
  • Opta index: 70.5
  • Transfer: Racing Louisville -> Melbourne City

Melbourne City’s Emina Ekic began the season with a flurry of goals and assists but having made just one goal contribution in her last five games, it’s no surprise to see the Bosnia and Herzegovina international slide down the eToro Transfer Power Rankings.

Ekic was first after December and January but has slid to sixth after February as a number of off-season signings made their respective moves.

4. Rachel Lowe

  • Ranking last month: 2nd (dropped two places)
  • Opta index: 74.0
  • Transfer: Sydney FC -> Melbourne Victory

3. Courtney Newbon

  • Ranking last month: 6th (climbed three places)
  • Opta index: 74.5
  • Transfer: Free agent -> Melbourne Victory

Courtney Newbon began the season at Central Coast Mariners but the signing of Dumont and Langman’s return from injury resulted in the goalkeeper seeking other opportunities – and since landing at Melbourne Victory, the 23-year-old has thrived.

Newbon kept a clean sheet in Victory’s 4-0 win over Western Sydney in February and has since produced a string of games with multiple saves to help her team make a charge towards the top two.

  • Opta index: 75.2
  • Transfer: Free agent -> Newcastle Jets

Fourteen games, 11 goals, four assists: Sarina Bolden is guaranteed to feature in the conversation for signing of the season and after climbing two places on the eToro Transfer Power Rankings, the Newcastle Jets spearhead is well in contention to make that title official.

Bolden scored a hat-trick in Newcastle’s 3-0 win over Brisbane Roar in February, shortly after a six-game stretch where the Philippines international bagged five goals.

1. Emily Gielnik

  • Ranking last month: N/A
  • Opta index: 79.6
