From a new five-week regular season format in March and April with two divisions to the introduction of the Gauntlet and an expanded finals bracket, you won’t want to miss any of the action as 24 players battle for the $10,000 prize pool and a spot at the new EA Sports FC 24 Pro World Championship. Who will follow in Mark11’s footsteps from 2023 and represent ANZ and the A-League against the world’s best in June?

From one to two: A fresh new format for E-League 2024
We’re upping the stakes for E-League 2024. Last year’s edition of E-League saw our 24 players battle together across one giant division. This year, we’re splitting them in two.
Our players will go head-to-head across two divisions—E-League and E-League Challengers—with A-League clubs fielding a rep in each. While the top flight battles it out with commentary in studio, our Challenger division will be costreamed live with support from prominent EA FC creators in the ANZ region.
With this change, matches will be best-of-one but with longer halves on each side than last year, boosting the intensity and value of each game across the five-week regular season and bringing the competition in line with the FC Pro global esports standard. The top eight of the first division progress to the E-League 2024 Playoffs, while the bottom four have one final chance against the best in the Challengers division via The Gauntlet.
Welcome to The Gauntlet
Our Challengers won’t just be vying for bragging rights in the second division. The top four in Challengers will fight for the remaining two playoff spots in the all-new Gauntlet, where only two will progress and join our playoff-bound top eight.
Once the Gauntlet wraps up, our final 10 will hit the playoffs, featuring a similar double-elimination format across three matchdays. The final weekend will see the top 8 battle live on LAN across two days with the champion receiving a direct invite to the FC Pro World Championship in June, taking on the world’s best and putting their A-League club on the world stage.
When does it all kick off?
E-League’s 2024 Season officially begins on Monday, March 11 with the first round of E-League Challengers. Tuesday, March 12 sees our top division begin their season live, with matches broadcasted live in-studio with our commentary team in Sydney. Below you’ll find the key dates for the 2024 season:
