They may have won three Westfield W-League Grand Finals in a row but Melbourne City are about to revolutionise the competition.
That is the view of Melbourne City winger Rhali Dobson, who has tipped new coach Rado Vidosic to be a major success in the women’s game.
Vidosic joined City in June as the club’s technical director and head coach of the Westfield W-League side.

The 57-year-old has worked at Brisbane Roar, Sydney FC, Melbourne Victory and the Wellington Phoenix in a long career in Australian football and Dobson has been excited by what he has brought to the table.
“[We will play] different to what has been seen in the W-League … something you would see more in the men’s game,” Dobson told The Sunday Age.
“We are confident we have a team that can go the entire way.
“Ultimately when you play for City, you have high expectations, we are here to win, not just go through the motions.
“We are aiming for that four-peat.”
Dobson is one of a host of stars in a City squad brimming with talent.
And while Wales international Jess Fishlock is not part of the City set-up in the Westfield W-League 2018/19 season, Dobson is confident others can step up.
“Jess – you can’t replace a player like her,” she said.
“You can only bring in players who can offer something different. It gives others a chance to rise to the occasion.”
Melbourne Citybeginsn their Westfield W-League title defence with a trip to Canberra United next Sunday.
