The revival of Sydney FC continues after player of the match Lisa De Vanna inspired the Sky Blues to a 3-0 win over Canberra United at Allianz Stadium on Friday afternoon.
De Vanna scored twice in the first half and it was her assist that saw Canberra United concede a third through an own goal in the second half.
Sydney FC were without key player Chloe Logarzo though they welcomed back star Caitlin Foord, who started on the bench after the Matildas star was announced before the game.

The assist came from Princess Ibini who brilliantly outsmarted and outmuscled Thorsnes wide right making space for a super low cross across the goal and De Vanna finished brilliantly.

De Vanna broke through, shifted the ball to her left foot and curled a superb shot past Kopmeyer from just inside the box.
Pressley (OG), Sydney FC 48′, 3-0
De Vanna’s cross from the left was inexplicably headed home by Toni Pressley from right in front with no Sky Blues pressuring her.
