Football Federation Australia (FFA) and NAB, together with Melbourne City FC are proud to announce Larissa Crummer as the October nominee for the Westfield W-League, NAB Young Footballer of the Year 2015/16 Award.
This is the first time that a player from the Westfield W-League has been nominated for this award and shows NAB’s increased commitment to supporting football in Australia and in particular Women’s Football.
Having recently moved south from Brisbane Roar FC to Melbourne City FC, Crummer has started the Westfield W-League 2015/16 in scintillating form scoring four goals from the two matches that she has played in so far.
Crummer was excited to be the first player ever to be named the monthly nominee for the Westfield W-League, NAB Young Footballer of the Year 2015/16 Award.
“It’s great to be nominated for the NAB Young Footballer of the Year,” Crummer said.
“It’s a credit to all the Melbourne City girls and coaching staff for pushing me for the season so far.
“I’ve been really happy with my start and especially the team’s start to the season; the highlights for me would be winning three matches out of three and playing and training with players of such high calibre, and, of course, scoring four goals.”
The NAB Young Footballer of the Year 2015/16 will be announced at the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League 2015/16 Awards Night on Tuesday 26 April 2016.

“We congratulate Larissa on her nomination and look forward to watching her development and growth on the football field in the years to come,” said Mr. Hall.
“We are also pleased to recognise Larissa‘s junior club, Peninsula Power from Brisbane in Queensland and hope that our support will help the club continue to develop the game at a grassroots level.”
NAB has generously donated a $1,500 equipment pack and $1,000 in a NAB Community Saver Account to Larissa’s chosen junior club.
The overall winner of the Westfield W-League, NAB Young Footballer of the Year 2015/16 Award will receive a $10,000 personal investment portfolio, along with a NAB Private Client Manager to assist with a range of banking and financial services.
“As a supporter of the NAB Young Footballer of the Year Award, we are proud to play an important role in identifying and rewarding the future stars of the game. Who knows, we may even see some of the nominees donning the boots for the Westfield Matildas in the future,” Mr. Hall continued.
Each month representatives from the FFA Technical department vote on a 3-2-1 basis for the most outstanding U-19 players in the Westfield W-League during that period.
