Brisbane Roar have signed Jordan Lauton after a breakout season in the Isuzu UTE A-League.
Lauton has signed a two-year deal with the Roar, where he reunites with former Western United team-mate Michael Ruhs after the Green and Black’s Club Participation Agreement (CPA) was placed in conditional hibernation for the upcoming campaign.
The dynamic 22-year-old midfielder featured prominently in 2024-25, making 18 appearances while also scoring a Goal-of-the-Season contender against Perth Glory – an outrageous stoppage-time bicycle kick.

“I’m thankful for the opportunity to have signed for the club,” said Lauton.
“I feel very fortuitous to play with my new teammates and will be aiming to help the team bring exciting football to the fans this season.”

Lauton joins a new-look Brisbane as new boss Michael Valkanis overseas a busy off-season.
The Roar have signed Milorad Stajic, James McGarry, Hosine Bility, Ruhs, Dean Bouzanis, Christoper Long, Justin Vidic, Dimitri Valkanis and Georgios Vrakas.
“I am both glad and excited to welcome Jordan to Brisbane Roar,” added former Greece and Ajax assistant Valkanis.
“He is both a dynamic and dependable player who will offer more competition for the central midfield position, which will only be of benefit to the squad throughout the season.”
