The Subway Australia Under-23s defeated South Korea 2-0 as they wrapped up their tour without defeat.
Melbourne City’s Alessandro Lopane was on the scoresheet, along with Isuzu UTE A-League graduate Garang Kuol in South Korea, where Tony Vidmar’s U23s ended the trip unbeaten following a 0-0 draw in the opening match.

After Newcastle United forward Kuol broke the deadlock with an incredible long-range goal, Lopane – who won the A-Leagues Championship with City earlier this month – doubled the lead via a well-taken finish.

Australia’s U23s will be back in action in early September for their 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers in China.
