Jagarinec was nominated for the November award via Football Coaches Australia’s monthly nomination process.
Australian Professional Leagues (APL) partnered with FCA in 2022-23 to give fans a crucial say in recognising outstanding coaching performances across both the Ninja A-League Women and Isuzu UTE A-League Men.
The FCA assembled an experienced panel that decide the monthly nominees for Coach of the Month in both leagues; a fan vote then decided the winner from the monthly nominees.
The January eligibility period included Rounds 9-12 of the Ninja A-League season, with results between December 31 and January 21 considered by the FCA Panel when voting for the Coach of the Month nominees.
Jagarinec was nominated alongside Melbourne Victory head coach Jeff Hopkins, Melbourne City’s Michael Matricciani and Adelaide United’s Adrian Stenta after overseeing two wins, one loss and one draw throughout the first month of the 2024-25 campaign.
Throughout the eligibility period, Jagarinec oversaw four games including three wins and just one defeat as his side surged back into top-six contention.
Jagarinec claimed 82% of the fan vote in a landslide victory for the Canberra boss in the January Coach of the Month voting.
