Ange Postecoglou nominated for another Premier League Manager of the Month award

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has earned a nomination for the Premier League’s Manager of the Month award for September.

The Australian head coach will compete for his second-consecutive Manager of the Month award, after scooping up honours in August to begin the Premier League campaign.

Spurs recorded three wins and a draw in four Premier League games throughout the month, extending their unbeaten run to seven games in the league.

The September results included a 2-2 draw with Arsenal away from home in a hotly-contested North London Derby and victory over Liverpool at home – albeit in controversial circumstances after an incorrect offside ruling on Luiz Diaz’s opening strike in a 2-1 win to Spurs.

Postecoglou oversaw victories over Liverpool, Sheffield United and Burnley in September to go with the 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

He’s nominated alongside Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool), Eddie Howe (Newcastle), Unai Emery (Aston Villa) and Mikel Arteta (Arsenal). Postecoglou and Arteta are the only two managers nominated without a loss on their September record, sharing an identical output of three wins and one draw.

As Postecoglou earned a Manager of the Month nomination, Spurs captain Son Heung-min was included in the shortlist for Player of the Month. Son scored six goals in four games, including a hat-trick against Burnley.
