Welcome to Rumour Mill: A look at all the transfer gossip relating to past and present A-Leagues players doing the rounds in the media.
Macarthur young gun tipped to join Aussie contingent in London
Following an impressive season with Macarthur Bulls full-back Kealey Adamson is now the latest Isuzu UTE A-League player being linked with a move overseas.
The 22-year-old was an ever-present for the Bulls last season, making 26 appearances for Mile Sterjovski’s side as they narrowly missed out on playing finals football.

However despite the Bulls ultimately suffering disappointment come season’s end Adamson certainly impressed during his first full campaign at the club and it’s no surprise he’s now being touted with a move to the UK.
Several reports online, both older and more recent, are now suggesting Adamson is set to join fellow Aussies Daniel Bennie and Jaylan Pearman in West London, with a move to EFL Championship side Queens Park Rangers on the cards.
Initially with Sydney FC, Adamson moved to Campbelltown in December of 2023 and immediately established himself as one of the best young fullbacks in the competition.

Experienced former Scottish Premiership captain linked with move Down Under
Newcastle boss Mark Milligan could soon be adding some experience to his Jets backline if rumours out of Scotland are believed to be true.
According to local Scottish media outlet The Courier as well as the Newcastle Herald, former Dundee FC captain Joe Shaughnessy looks set for a move to McDonald Jones Stadium after recently leaving the Dark Blues.

An experienced central defender, the 32-year-old has played for the likes of Aberdeen, St Johnstone and St Mirren during his time in Scotland and now looks set to bolster Milligan’s defensive unit ahead of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season.
Shaughnessy played just six times for Dundee last season after returning from a long-term knee injury but played a key role in helping his side avoid relegation from the Scottish Premiership.
According to both outlets the Irishman turned down a new contract offer at the club in favour of a move to the Isuzu UTE A-League.

Roar ‘showing interest’ in bringing A-Leagues gun back to Australia while former player tipped to return
They may have already recruited Bosnian youth international Milorad Stajic and A-Leagues Champion James McGarry but Brisbane Roar seemingly aren’t done there.
According to news.com.au’s Marco Monteverde, new Roar boss Michael Valkanis is looking to bring former Adelaide United youngster Giuseppe Bovalina back to the Isuzu UTE A-League.

Currently plying his trade in Major League Soccer (MLS) with Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps, Bovalina has a year left to run on his contract but could be persuaded to move on due to a lack of game time.
Recently part of the Australian U23 squad which played against South Korea, 20-year-old Bovalina left Adelaide United in 2024 in favour of a move to MLS.
Meanwhile Monteverde also reports the Roar are keen on bringing former Roar man Nikola Mileusnic back to the club.

Having left the Roar to join David Zdrilic’s Perth Glory last season, Mileusnic has endured an injury-hit time in Western Australia and started just nine games in a campaign that saw Glory collect the wooden spoon.

Socceroo chased by trio of clubs including global phenomenon
Having enjoyed two excellent seasons at Melbourne Victory en route to becoming a fully fledged Socceroo, midfielder Ryan Teague is now attracting interest from plenty of clubs overseas.
Several media outlets including news.com.au are reporting Belgian sides Gent and KV Mechelen are tracking the Victory man while another high-profile side have also made contact with his representatives.

Following their promotion to the EFL Championship, Welsh side Wrexham are keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old who could well be set to head back overseas this off-season.
Intriguingly, Victory will face off against the side owned by Hollywood duo Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds at Marvel Stadium in July as part of Wrexham’s pre-season tour, providing a perfect opportunity for the Red Dragons hierachy to take a closer look at Teague.
Socceroos skipper could be on the move once again
Despite shining for French club RC Lens during the 2024-25 season, Socceroos number one Maty Ryan could well be on the move once again.
The 33-year-old only joined Lens in January but could now be tasked with finding another club according to reports in France.

Beginning his Isuzu UTE A-League career with the Central Coast Mariners, Ryan has now played for 10 clubs in Europe since leaving Australia and looks likely he’ll now be on the lookout for his 11th.
