This fixture has been postponed 24 hours due to heavy rain in Gosford but Central Coast Mariners will be full of confidence heading into their home Elimination Final having beaten rivals Newcastle Jets in the final round of the regular season to secure fourth spot on the ladder.
Goals from Tiana Fuller and Jade Pennock secured a 2-1 come-from-behind win for the Mariners as they left McDonald Jones Stadium with three points and the right to host Canberra United in the bag.
With three wins from their last five matches, Emily Husband’s side have hit form at the right time and head into the Finals Series knowing they’ll provide a stern test for another of the league’s form teams.

Saturday’s 3-1 win over the Western Sydney Wanderers meant Antoni Jagarinec’s side ended the regular season with three-straight wins under their belts as they booked their place in the Finals Series with a game to spare.
No doubt key for sixth-place Canberra’s hopes of progressing past the Mariners will be A-captain Michelle Heyman who, despite having scored just two goals in her Finals career, is always a threat in the final third.
When it comes to the recent form guide between these two sides its the Mariners who have the upper hand, registering three wins and a draw from their four meetings since the home side returned to the competition.
