Sydney FC will defend their Liberty A-League title this upcoming season and they will do it with a growing supporter base after their shattering membership target.
There are still six weeks until Sydney kick-off their title defence but on the back of a historic and record-breaking FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia, the Sky Blues have already exceeded their target of 1,000 members with 1,369.

It comes after Matildas star Cortnee Vine starred en route to the World Cup semi-finals and re-signed with Sydney, who are preparing for a blockbuster derby against Western Sydney Wanderers at Allianz Stadium to open the 2023-24 campaign on October 14.
“It is amazing to see the amount of people who have signed up for a Membership to support us and we’d love to get as many Members as we can,” said captain Nat Tobin.
“I’m delighted to see the likes of Cortnee [Vine] and fellow Matilda Tameka Yallop sign up to play in the Liberty A-League this season.
“Every player in The Matildas World Cup squad played in the competition at some point and I’ve no doubt fans will see the next generation Matildas stars coming through this season.
