Perth Glory have handed prolific West Australian striker Pieter Jacobsz his opportunity in the Isuzu UTE A-League, signing the 25-year-old on a one-year deal ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Jacobsz arrives at Glory after dominating the NPL WA in recent seasons, claiming the Golden Boot in 2024 and 2025 with Armadale SC before doing so again this season with Perth Azzurri.
The target-man has scored more than 60 goals across those three seasons and will now step up to the professional game with his hometown club.

“I firstly want to give all the glory to God, he has blessed me to be here,” Jacobsz said after penning his one-year deal. “It’s an honour to be signing for Perth Glory.
“It’s been a dream of mine since I was young to play professional football and to do it in my home city makes it that much more special.
“I am more ready than ever to take on this opportunity and plan to make a mark on the A-League from the beginning.
“I hope to score plenty of goals and win games and I’m confident that with the team we have, we’ll be doing that and pushing for the league.
“I want to thank everyone at Glory who has welcomed me with open arms and I look forward to our time together.
“I want to thank my wife for her love and support through everything.

Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis believes Jacobsz’s physical attributes and finishing ability can translate to the A-League.
“Pieter’s record in the NPL WA is simply phenomenal,” Lazaridis said.
“We’re always monitoring the best local players with a view to bringing them on board and Pieter has certainly been a standout performer here in WA over a sustained period of time.
“He’s a physically powerful striker who can hold the ball up and bring others into play, but he can also get in behind and is a very high-quality finisher who scores all kinds of different goals.
“We’ve been impressed by what we’ve seen from Pieter in training so far and he will provide another key attacking option for us this season

Jacobz is likely to be Perth’s leading man for their opening game of the season which sees them travel to Macarthur Bulls on Saturday, October 17.
