The question is, can Melbourne Victory go one step further in 2025-26?
For the past two seasons, Victory have qualified for the Grand Finals but on both occasions they have fallen agonisingly short.
However, the four-time champions remain a genuine title contender despite the sales of Kasey Bos and Ryan Teague, as well as the exits of Daniel Arzani, Mitch Langerak (retired) and Bruno Fornaroli (retired). That is because Victory have managed to recruit Spanish superstar Juan Mata, Socceroo Denis Genreau, Louis D’Arrigo, Jason Davidson, Keegan Jelacic, Matthew Grimaldi and Franco Lino.
Victory also still boast Socceroos forward Nishan Velupillay and Victory Medallist Jordi Valadon.
