Adelaide, Western United & Roar bound for Mildura in A-Leagues Festival of Sport: ‘A game-changer’

Excitement for the A-Leagues in 2024-25 will continue to build as Adelaide United, Western United and Brisbane Roar head to Mildura, Victoria for the One Agency Mildura A-Leagues Festival of Sport.

The two-game event at the Mildura Sporting Precint (MSP) will feature a clash between Ninja A-League Women sides Adelaide and Western United on October 5, kicking off at 2pm AEST. Then, Adelaide’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men outfit will face Brisbane Roar at 4.30pm AEST.

Gates open at 12pm AEST at the MSP in the first of three editions of the A-Leagues Festival of Sport set to run through to 2026, bringing elite A-Leagues football to the region for the first time.

Other events at the two-day festival include a Junior Soccer Clinic on Friday, October 4, providing young football fans the chance to meet their A-Leagues heroes, and a workshop on Friday evening in which Adelaide United coaches will attend to share their insights with the local coaching community.

With more than 4,000 people expected to attend, Adelaide United CEO Nathan Kosmina said the club is eager to take part in an event that will support the Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) through proceeds raised.

All proceeds will go to MBPH’s mobile skin cancer screening vehicle, which is set to launch in 2025, offering cutting-edge care to regional areas.

“We’re thrilled to be part of this event, not only showcasing top-level football in a new region but also supporting a great cause that will benefit communities across the country,” Kosmina said.
