Returning Glory star Andy Keogh is confident he can add another dimension to Kenny Lowe’s misfiring attack and believes Perth are capable of launching a late charge towards to the finals.
The Irishman re-joined the club last week following the departure of Guyon Fernandez and started in Glory’s 3-1 loss to Adelaide United at nib Stadium on Saturday night.
Perth have struggled in front of goal this season netting just 15 goals in 14 games with Spaniard Diego Castro the club’s leading scorer with four goals.

Keogh was the Glory’s top-scorer last season with 12 goals and the 29-year-old is keen to replicate that form in the second half of the current campaign.
“It’s obvious… I’m there to score goals and that’s what I want to give,” he told reporters at training on Tuesday.
“I contributed a little bit (on Saturday night), I’ve got a lot more to give. That’s how it is when you’ve come in mid-season and you try to get that match fitness in straight away. I’ve been training hard and been putting a lot of effort off the pitch so hopefully my fitness will come back very quickly.”
Keogh acknowledged there were some changes to this year’s squad compared to last year but praised the acquisition of some players, especially Spanish marquee Diego Castro.
“I’m training and playing with the likes of Diego Castro a bit more and learning how he plays, that will help in the future games. The team is similar in style of play, if anything, it has more flare with Castro in it.
Glory squandered two clear-cut chances against United but its chances like those Keogh is confident of putting away.
“Hopefully some of those chances that fell to Diego and Chris Harold will fall to me and I’ll put them away. There’s 39 points on offer and you look for that top six and create something in a season where no one expected anything.”
